Free Willow, Lower Willow Creek Fish Passage Project - Construction

The Union Soil and Water Conservation District (USWCD) is requesting proposals from qualified
and responsive construction firms (Contractors) for construction of the Free Willow, Lower
Willow Creek Fish Passage Project (Project) to improve Fish passage for ESA listed fish species.
The selected Contractor will be expected to provide all construction materials and complete all
aspects of construction for two fish ladders along a portion of Willow Creek, a tributary to the
Grande Ronde River near Imbler, Oregon. 

Project contract will be initiated by May 16, 2022 and terminate by December 15, 2022.
All instream work will need to be completed with the Oregon in-water work period from July 1, 2022 through October 15, 2022.The fishway structure will consist of 10 step pools totaling approximately 105 feet in length and 10 feet in width. The project will require the excavation of approximately 800 cubic yards of material, installation of structural backfill, construction and installation of concrete footing and walls (precast or pour-in-place), construction of a foot bridge, installation of cobble and riprap grade control, construction of 240
feet of barbed wire fence, and installation of encapsulated soil lift for bank stabilization.
